Hawaiian Pineapple Pork

One of my favorite meats is pork. Its pinkish natural embellishment isn't the only thing I am attracted to, but the juicy taste is certainly one to live for. Referring to my previous sweet and spicy bacon chicken, today i present readers with another pork delight. In fact, this is my personal favorite!

Ingredients:

10 thick pork chops- one per person
12 ounces ketchup- about half a bottle
1-1/2 cups water
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar (or honey)
1 small can crushed pineapple
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Brown the pork chops slowly in a greased skillet just to a light golden brown; remove and transfer to an oven pan.

Chops should be arranged in a single layer.

In a saucepan, mix the remaining ingredients, except for the pineapples. Bring to boil then cook to have a thick puree.

Pour the sauce over the pork chops and garnish with the crushed pineapple.

Cover with a foil and bake in a preheated oven- 275 degrees. Bake for about 3 hours.

Best served with green beans, creamed maize/corn and rolls.
